Q: What is this place?
A: The Gear VR Vault is an extension of The Gear VR Codex. Our goal is the preservation of Gear VR and Oculus Go software.
Q: How do I use the software available here?
A: With a Gear VR, Oculus Go or Meta Quest, all you need to do is activate Developer Mode.

Q: How do I install the APK?
A: On Gear VR it’s easy. Just download the APK, go to your file manager and click the APK to install. On Quest or Oculus Go you have two choices:
- Download SIdeQuest for PC and use that to install the APK
- Use SideQuest to install a File Manager. This will allow you to do everything else from inside the headset.
Q: What about titles that have an OBB folder, or additional data?
A: It’s always best to use a PC for these apps. Download the additional data and unzip the file. There will be a text file in there called “Location.txt” that will tell you where to copy the additional files/folders.
Q: What titles will work on which platform?
Anything in the Gear VR category should work on Oculus Go.
Anything in the Quest 3 category should work on Quest 2 and Quest Pro.
